The Juzo Dynamic above-knee stump shrinker is a compression garment for transfemoral (above-knee) residual limbs. In the weeks and months after amputation, controlled compression is essential: it reduces post-operative and ongoing oedema (swelling), helps shape the stump into a stable, tapered form, and prepares the limb for a comfortable, well-fitting prosthesis. Made from Juzo's robust, opaque Dynamic circular-knit, it delivers firm, uniform working pressure exactly where it is needed.

The shrinker is shaped to fit the residual limb closely and extends high on the thigh to cover the full above-knee stump, held securely in place with a Balance silicone border that grips gently at the top without digging in. The durable knit holds its shape and support wash after wash, and the breathable fabric stays comfortable through the extended daily wear that stump management requires, a real benefit in the UAE climate.

Lengths, sizes and options

Available in compression class 1 or 2 and in four stump lengths (O20, O25, O30, O35) to match your residual limb, with standard sizes from XS to XXL in Beige or Black. Common length and size combinations are held ready-made for immediate use; other lengths, sizes and colours are ordered specially from Juzo Germany, and a custom-made version and the antibacterial Dynamic Silver (for sensitive or irritated skin) are also available by order. How to wear it

Put the shrinker on over the residual limb as guided by your prosthetist or clinician, drawing it up the thigh and positioning the silicone border comfortably at the top. It is typically worn for extended periods each day, and often overnight in the early stages, following your clinician's schedule. Your prosthetist will confirm the correct compression class, length and size, and how the shrinker fits into your rehabilitation plan.
