Overview

Post-Op Surgical Bras & Breast Stabilizers

Front-fastening surgical bras hold the breasts in the correct position after augmentation, reduction or reconstruction, while a stabiliser band applies gentle downward pressure to encourage settling. Wide straps, soft seams and adjustable closures keep the chest supported and comfortable without underwires pressing on healing tissue.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a post-operative surgical bra, and what is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2?
A post-operative surgical bra is a front-fastening, wire-free bra that holds the breasts in position and applies gentle, even compression while tissue heals after augmentation, reduction or reconstruction. Stage 1 bras such as the REV.0301 Revee Bra Laetitia and the REV.0303 Revee Bra Julie are made for the first phase of recovery, with three-row front-hook closures for easy dressing. The REV.0302 Revee Bra Elodie is a Stage 2 bra, worn once the first-stage phase is complete, and it is designed to carry on as a comfortable everyday bra. Which stage you are in, and when you move between them, is decided by your surgeon.
What does the Revee Belt do and how is it worn?
The REV.0201 Revee Belt is a stabilisation band worn over your recovery bra, not instead of it. It applies gentle downward pressure to reinforce the bra's compression and help keep breast implants in the intended position during the first weeks after surgery, as part of a recovery plan advised by your surgeon. The Velcro closure is fully adjustable, so the tension can be set to the level your surgeon asks for.
How many hours a day should I wear a post-surgery bra, and for how long overall?
Wearing time after breast surgery is set by your surgeon, and it varies with the procedure, the stage of healing and the individual. Many patients are asked to wear a Stage 1 bra day and night at first and then move to a Stage 2 garment such as the Elodie, but only your surgeon can confirm your schedule. If your instructions are unclear, ask the clinic that performed your surgery before changing anything.
How do I get the right size, and can I be measured before or after surgery?
We measure you at a fitting: in our clinic at 610 Clover Bay Tower, Business Bay, Dubai (30-45 minutes), at home in Dubai or Abu Dhabi (45-60 minutes), or by guided video consultation (20-30 minutes). In-clinic and virtual fittings are free when you buy a garment from us; a home visit may carry a travel fee depending on the area, which a colleague confirms when you book. Many patients are measured shortly before surgery so the bra is ready for the day they need it — please wear loose clothing that gives easy access to the chest. Our fitting specialists are certified in medical compression therapy and trained by Juzo in Germany.
How do I wash a surgical bra, and how often does it need replacing?
Machine wash at 40 C on a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag, using a detergent made for compression garments. No fabric softener, no tumble drying and no ironing — heat and softener break down the elastic fibres and the garment stops compressing properly. Compression garments in daily use typically hold their compression for about 4 to 6 months, so many patients buy two to alternate them and keep one clean and dry at all times.
