They form the layers of the multilayer compression used in complete decongestive therapy to reduce limb volume. The foam evens out pressure across the limb and protects the skin under the bandages, while the short-stretch layers work with muscle movement to move lymph and soften fibrotic tissue. These items are used as part of the management of lymphoedema and lipoedema as advised by a clinician, and are normally applied following a therapist's instructions.

Juzo SC Lymphaid (SoftCompress) is a cushioning bandaging aid with a cotton outer surface and a 5–9 mm foam core in vertically stitched channels, made for arms (Art. 6823, 6822) and legs (Art. 6831, 6830, 6821, 6820) and compatible with Juzo ACS Light and short-stretch bandages. JUZO LymphPad is a textured foam pad on a tear-resistant polyamide non-woven backing, used inside bandaging or under a garment to distribute pressure more evenly over areas of tissue thickening. The JUZO Pressure Pad is a smaller foam insert for the hand and arm, in normal and long lengths, placed under a sleeve or glove to concentrate pressure on one localised pocket of swelling. ACS Light Pads are the lighter padding option used within the same bandaging systems.

They sit next to the skin as a first layer under bandages or compression garments to reduce friction and mechanical stress from the bandage layers. INTRA FineLiner AG 0083 is a 100% polyamide, latex-free under-stocking that also helps hold primary dressings in place, while INTRA Under Sock Silver 0094 (67% polyamide, 18% X-Static silver, 15% elastane) puts silver fibres in direct skin contact for odour and bacteria control. The INTRA toe socks 0075 (open toe) and 0080 (closed toe) cover the forefoot and toe area, where padding and bandages can otherwise rub.

The choice of padding, foam thickness and compression class belongs to your treating doctor or lymphoedema therapist, or to a fitting with our specialist in the Business Bay clinic, at home in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, or by guided video consultation. CCL 1 and most ready-made CCL 2 garments do not need a prescription, while CCL 3, CCL 4 and every custom flat-knit garment do; bring any referral you have to the fitting. Wear loose clothing that gives easy access to the limb being measured, and if a custom flat-knit garment is ordered alongside the padding, it is made to your own measurements at Juzo in Germany and takes 2 to 4 weeks from the day measurements are confirmed.

Follow the wash instructions supplied with each item; our general compression care guidance is a 40 C gentle machine cycle in a mesh laundry bag with a detergent made for compression garments, with no fabric softener, no tumble drying and no ironing, because heat and softener destroy elastic fibres. LymphPad is made to keep its shape with regular washing, and having a second pad or liner lets one dry while the other is in use. For comparison, a medical compression garment typically lasts 4 to 6 months of daily wear before it stops compressing properly; ask your therapist or our specialist when your padding and liners should be renewed.
