Overview

Hydrating Scar Care Oils & Skin Therapy

Targeted oils keep new scars supple and hydrated, while broad-spectrum sun protection shields the area from UV that can cause lasting discolouration. Used together as part of a daily routine, they help scars mature into a softer, less visible finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is REV.OIL and what is it used for?
REV.OIL is a dry body and face oil made in Italy, built around pure Vitamin E, rosehip oil, sweet almond oil and a blend of bio-fermented oils. It is used to keep skin hydrated and to improve the look of scars, stretch marks and dry, tired skin. It is fragrance-free and has a lightweight texture that absorbs in seconds rather than sitting on the skin.
When can I start using an oil on a new scar after surgery?
That timing belongs to your surgeon or treating clinician, because it depends on how your incision is healing. REV.OIL is meant for intact, closed skin — it is not for open wounds, fresh stitches or areas still covered by a dressing. Once your clinician confirms the skin is closed and ready, the oil can be used as part of a daily scar care routine.
Can I use REV.OIL underneath a compression garment?
Yes. Its dry texture absorbs quickly, so it layers under compression garments and clothing without the greasy film a heavy body oil leaves. Apply it and let it absorb fully before putting the garment on, and keep washing the garment as normal — 40 C gentle cycle in a mesh bag with a detergent made for compression garments, no fabric softener, no tumble drying.
How do I apply it, and how often?
Use a small amount and massage it into the scar and the skin around it until it absorbs, usually morning and evening as part of a daily routine. Scars mature slowly over months, so consistency over that period matters more than using a large quantity at once. If the area feels irritated or reacts, stop and speak to your clinician.
Why does sun protection matter for a new scar?
New scar tissue is vulnerable to UV, which can leave lasting discolouration in the area. Keeping the scar covered by clothing or using a broad-spectrum sunscreen alongside a hydrating oil is a common part of a daily routine, and it is worth asking your clinician what is suitable for your particular scar. If you would like help combining scar care with your compression garments, our specialists at 610 Clover Bay Tower, Business Bay can talk it through with you.
