Arion Easy-Slide Kids Compression Donning Aid

The Arion Easy-Slide Kids is a donning aid designed especially for young children, helping parents and caregivers put on medical compression garments with far less effort. Without the right aid, getting a compression garment onto a small child every day is a real struggle, and it can be genuinely painful for the child, especially during scar therapy after wounds, burns or scalds.

Why it matters for scar therapy

Wearing a compression garment every day is essential to a successful outcome. Compression inhibits the development of scars, helps prevent further scarring, and helps existing scars heal faster and better. The Easy-Slide Kids is made from a very smooth, sliding material that reduces friction between the child's skin and the garment, so this important daily task becomes quicker for the caregiver and far less stressful and painful for the child.

One aid for sleeves and stockings

The Easy-Slide Kids works for compression arm sleeves, leg sleeves and open-toe stockings, covering the garments a child in compression therapy is most likely to wear. It comes in two sizes, shaped for smaller arms, legs and feet. If your child has outgrown these sizes, our adult Easy-Slide and Easy-Slide Arm aids are available in more sizes.

When to use it

Use the Easy-Slide Kids to help put a compression garment onto a young child with less effort and less pain, including during:

• Scar therapy after burns, scalds or wounds
• Paediatric lymphedema or swelling requiring a sleeve or stocking
• Any situation where putting compression on a child is difficult or distressing

How to use it

Place the arm sleeve, leg sleeve or open-toe stocking over the Easy-Slide Kids first, then guide the child's arm or foot through, letting the smooth material draw the garment gently into place. Separate steps for arm and leg are shown in the supplied instructions and video guide. Pair with Arion Easy-Grip gloves to improve grip and spread the fabric evenly along the limb.
