Above-knee compression with secure hip suspension
The Juzo Dynamic above-knee stump shrinker with hip attachment is a compression garment for transfemoral (above-knee) residual limbs that also anchors around the waist. Like the standard above-knee shrinker, it controls oedema (swelling) and shapes the stump into a stable, tapered form for prosthetic fitting, delivering Juzo's firm, uniform Dynamic compression. The added hip attachment extends up and around the waist to hold the garment securely in place.
Made for shorter and higher stumps
For a short or high transfemoral stump, a standard shrinker can slip or roll down, because there is less limb length to grip. The hip attachment solves this: by anchoring at the waist, it keeps the shrinker reliably in position, maintains even compression, and prevents it sliding during movement. This makes it the right choice when secure suspension matters as much as compression itself.
Lengths, sizes and options
Available in compression class 1 or 2 and in four stump lengths (OH20, OH25, OH30, OH35) to match your residual limb, with standard sizes from XS to XXL in Beige or Black. Common combinations are held ready-made; other lengths, sizes and colours are ordered specially from Juzo Germany, and a custom-made version and the antibacterial Dynamic Silver (for sensitive or irritated skin) are also available by order. Because correct fit and suspension are critical, sizing should always be confirmed by a trained specialist or prosthetist. For a stump that does not need waist suspension, see the standard Juzo Dynamic above-knee stump shrinker.
Recommended for
- Above-knee (transfemoral) amputation recovery
- Short or high residual limbs that need waist suspension
- Stump oedema control, post-operative and ongoing
- Shaping the residual limb in preparation for a prosthesis
- Patients who find a standard shrinker slips or rolls down
How to wear it
Draw the shrinker up over the residual limb and fasten the hip attachment around the waist as guided by your prosthetist, positioning the silicone border comfortably. The waist anchor keeps it in place through movement. It is typically worn for extended periods each day, and often overnight in the early stages, following your clinician's schedule. Your prosthetist will confirm the correct compression class, length, size and suspension.
Important
Stump compression is a medical therapy, and the correct compression class, length, fit and suspension are essential for safe, effective limb shaping. Do not use over broken or unhealed skin without clinical guidance. Always start and adjust stump compression under the supervision of your surgeon, prosthetist or lymphatic therapist. Book an assessment with our certified Juzo specialist in Dubai to confirm the right garment.

Exchanges
Wrong size or a fault on arrival? Exchange within 24 hours of delivery — the item must be unworn and in its original packaging.
