Extra strength for raised, hypertrophic scars

The Juzo ScarPad Extra is a thicker silicone patch, made from 100% medical-grade silicone at 1.4mm, twice the thickness of the Light. That extra body makes it ideal for hypertrophic (raised) scars on flatter, larger areas such as the abdomen, upper arm and leg, where a firmer, more supportive silicone layer helps flatten and soften the scar. Silicone keeps the scar area from drying out and creates the ideal healing environment.

Two lengths, including one made for long scars

Choose the version that matches your scar. The Extra Normal (10 x 14 cm) suits raised scars on the abdomen, arm or leg. The Extra Long (8 x 30 cm) is specially shaped for large, long scars, such as those after a C-section or abdominoplasty, covering the full length of the scar in one continuous piece rather than several patches. Both can be cut to any shape and size and come one patch per pack.

Made to work with compression

ScarPad Extra is designed to be used together with a compression garment for the best therapy results. It is soft and unobtrusive despite its strength, offers standard UV protection blocking at least 93% of UV, and can be worn for up to 23 hours a day. It is washable and reusable, so one patch lasts through weeks of therapy.

When to use it

Use ScarPad Extra as part of scar therapy, in combination with a compression garment, for:

• Hypertrophic (raised) scars on the abdomen, arm or leg
• Long surgical scars after a C-section or abdominoplasty (Extra Long)
• Scars that need a firmer, thicker silicone than the Light provides

How to use it

Clean and dry the skin, cut the patch to follow the length and shape of the scar if needed, and apply it directly over the closed scar. For a C-section or tummy tuck scar, the Extra Long covers the whole line in one piece. Wear it with your compression garment for up to 23 hours a day, and clean daily with Juzo ScarPad Cleaning Soap (included).

Important

Apply to closed scars only, never to open wounds, and do not combine it directly with skin care products. After a C-section, begin silicone therapy only once your doctor confirms the wound has fully healed. Follow the guidance of your clinician or our specialist in Dubai.
