The Doctor Life 4MAX is a medical-grade intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) device that brings professional-style lymphatic drainage into the home. Air-filled sleeves wrap the limb and inflate in a controlled, wave-like sequence across four chambers, gently pushing lymph fluid and swelling toward the body's natural drainage pathways, the same principle a therapist uses in manual lymphatic drainage, delivered consistently at the touch of a button.

Choose your set

Select the set that matches your therapy. The Arm Set includes one arm sleeve in a universal size, for lymphedema and swelling of the arm. The Leg Set includes a pair of leg sleeves, available in three sizes for a proper fit, treating both legs in one session. Both sets connect to the same 4MAX pump.

Adjustable, clinical-grade control

The system offers four massage programs, an adjustable pressure range of 20 to 180 mmHg in ten steps, and 10, 20 or 30 minute timers, so treatment can be matched to your therapist's guidance. Each air chamber can be switched on or off individually for targeted therapy. Compact, light (around 2 kg) and very quiet, the 4MAX is built to fit easily into a daily home routine, complementing your compression garments and therapy between clinic visits. Athletes also value it for faster muscle recovery, but its core purpose is supporting effective lymphatic and circulatory therapy at home.

How to use it

Fit the sleeve on the arm, or a sleeve on each leg, connect the hose to the pump, and select the program, pressure and time advised by your therapist. Sit or lie comfortably during the session, typically 20 to 30 minutes, ideally with the limb elevated. Use it as part of your overall management, alongside your compression garments and any manual therapy. Your clinician will advise frequency and pressure.

Important safety information

An IPC pump is a medical device and is not suitable for everyone. Do not use it, and seek medical advice first, if you have or suspect a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or blood clot, acute infection or inflammation of the limb (cellulitis), severe heart failure, or acute skin conditions or open wounds in the treatment area. Always start IPC therapy under the guidance of your doctor or lymphatic therapist, who will set the correct pressure and confirm it is safe for you. Stop and seek advice if you feel pain, numbness or increased swelling.
